About the Artist
Leon Sam - Lost Lion Art
Leon Sam is a mixed-media visual artist originally from Georgetown, Guyana. He moved to Englewood, NJ as an early teen. Cultivated by a strong community of artists in and around New York City, Leon began creating art locally before moving to Louisville, KY in 2013 where he worked as a freelance artist as well as a set and prop builder for Dream Theme Studio and Oak Island Creative. He now resides in Bristol, TN and works under the name LostLionArt. Leon utilizes a multitude of mediums, most often layering ink, watercolor, charcoal, arylic, and spray paint in his pieces and finishing each with his intricate signature pattern work. He has a large body of complex original artwork as well as a collection of Fan Art pieces for kids and superfans alike. At present, he is working on commissions for music and art festivals where he creates large-scale sculpture installations to add custom whimsy to their festival grounds. In addition to traditional visual art, Leon creates limited edition T-shirts and stickers with custom items created for each event in which he participates.
You can find Leon’s work at numerous music and art festivals around the country, as well as in select locations in Englewood, Louisville, Lexington, Bristol, and Abingdon, Va.
